Half a year old!

I'm not sure how it happened, but somehow, tomorrow, Jack turns SIX months old! He's such a little person now...and so incredibly much fun!

At school they call him gigglebox because he laughs all the time.

He is so interactive and curious about things. He grabs absolutely everything in sight and puts it all straight into his mouth.

He's sleeping all night again, and has been for a few weeks. Although he's still not good at napping for us. Yesterday, he refused to nap at all...and it didn't end well.

He's eating 7 ounces 5 times a day and two meals of solid foods. So far we've had rice cereal, oatmeal, applesauce, bananas, prunes and peaches. He likes applesauce and bananas the best. He opens his mouth for the spoon now and closes his mouth up tight when he's all done. Last week we tried testing the milk allergy and put him on regular formula. The verdict is...he's still allergic. He didn't have the extreme reaction he had the first few weeks of life, but he certainly wasn't himself. So we'll try that again at 9 months. Today, at the doctor, with his clothes on, he was 17 lbs and 3 ounces. His 6 month checkup is in a few weeks, so we'll see what the real numbers are then. He's just starting to outgrow some of his 3-6 month clothes, so I guess he's right on schedule.

He can sit unassisted, though he's still a bit wobbly and falls over when he gets distracted by something or reaches a bit too far for something.

He still loves the exersaucer but also is now into sitting in the bumbo and just playing with a few toys, like the stack of rings or his little lion toy. He entertains himself quite well.

He's a very easy baby. Not that I have any others to compare him to, but I can't imagine it gets much easier. He's so happy and sweet and just when we think we couldn't fall any more in love with him...we do. I don't really know how we made it through life this long without him...we love you monkey!
