Jack's First Trip to the Dentist

In mid-July, Jack took his first trip to see the dentist! He wasn't a huge fan, though he didn't cry...just wouldn't open his mouth and seemed rather skeptical of the whole situation.







Gramps went along too since Gramps makes everything better. Jack was pretty interested in all of the tools...







and may have even cracked the tiniest of smiles when Dr. Kittrell blew air on him.







They certainly never got to look at his teeth but they were more interested in getting him acclimated to the place before he actually needed any work done on his teeth. I wouldn't call it a huge success but I think, like me, Jack always does a little better when something is at least a little familiar, so we'll see how it goes in 6 months! And while he wouldn't open his mouth there, he came home from school that day saying "Aaaaahhhh" and opening up wide!
