Granny's birthday bash

Do you see this beautiful lady? Guess how old she is....

I'm sure you got it wrong! She looks AMAZING, right? And she just turned 80! I can only hope I got a good share of those genes! We call her Granny and we had the opportunity to celebrate the big event with her in early July. Lots of wonderful people gathered around her for an afternoon of great food and great fun.

It was one of the few afternoons we've had this summer where being outside was tolerable! Jack took full advantage and blew a LOT of bubbles...

and Gramps might have blown a few too.

He played in the water a bit...

and read a few books.

After a yummy dinner, there was some live entertainment...

It was a wonderful afternoon and evening and I sure hope that Granny enjoyed it as much as we did. She's an inspiration to me on a daily basis...at 80 she plays bridge and golf, goes for a walk every morning, volunteers for several great organizations in our home town and emails us all frequently. She does all of that on top of looking this good...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRANNY and hope we get to share the next big milestone together too! We LOVE you!
