Snow!

Today Jack woke up to his first real snow! We got about 5 inches and it was beautiful. Kenny decided to stay home with us and we had such a great day...

The first time we went out, Jack thought it was all pretty neat.

We only stayed out a few minutes then came in to warm up again before we tried it all again. This time we thought we'd see how he liked a little ride on the sled. He was doing great until he fell off and went face first into the snow! That didn't go over so well...

Needless to say we went in for a while after that. While Jack napped, we built him a snowman.

And then tried the sled again. It went a little better this time but he was still a bit skeptical...

It's been a good 5 years or so since we've had any real snow here. Kenny and I went sledding shortly after we met in 2004 and it hasn't snowed since. On this very day last year, Kenny and I were on the back patio playing ladder golf and counting the minutes (or hours at that point) between contractions. It was warm and sunny. So I'm not sure how old Jack will be when he sees his next snow but it will sure be fun to see what he thinks of it then!

March babies never can be sure whether their parties have to be indoors or out. Grace has discovered this and her mother/party planner laments it. Sometimes there is snow, and sometimes you could almost run in the sprinkler!

WHOA! Lots of credit to you all. It snows so infrequently and you had a Jack-sized snow suit at the ready! Now, that's one master mama...
