So picking up where we left off, Christmas Eve was here before we knew it! We usually spend Christmas Eve baking cookies and taking good naps before a big delicious dinner at Uncle Harold and Judy's house. But this year the plans changed a little bit but it turned out to be a perfect day, none the less.
We headed over to Grams and Gramps' early to make Santa some cookies.
And eat a few m&ms...or at least Max did. In 95% of the pictures, Max is eating and Jack is diligently decorating!
We also made some food for the reindeer.
Then it was home for naps and getting ready for Christmas Eve at our house! Granny was so kind to offer to pay for catering, so I didn't have to worry about cooking. We used Mosaic and it was WONDERFUL.
After a lovely dinner, it was time to put the food out for the reindeer...
Then Gramps read "Twas the Night Before Christmas" and some of us listened intently and some of us might have teared up. It was one of those moments that seemed to come right out of a story book itself. The whole family, gathered around, listening and getting ready for the big night. Jack was so very into Christmas and just couldn't get enough of it all, and end the night like this, just couldn't have been better. We really missed UH and Judy and the lovely dinner at their house, but this little change of plans was actually timed perfectly.
We couldn't forget Santa's cookies, of course. We were all set for his big visit...
